With over 40 years theatre experience between them Georgina Egan and Corinne Emerson established EGO Performance Company in January 2006. Using theatre, music and film EGO plays a professional part in the cultural life of the City of Coventry by consistently providing outstanding, exciting, vibrant and quirky performance opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, both within and beyond the boundaries of traditional theatre settings.

EGO Company members and project participants; increase their confidence and self-esteem through the participation, and the development of skills, in performing arts. Our work encourages communication and learning across generations as well as exposing our members to the diversity within our community. EGO is committed to working with young people involving children and young people in the whole process of creating work and ensuring they have a say about issues that affect them as individuals and collectively, particularly those who are most vulnerable in society.

EGO works in both formal and informal settings, in the community, in education and in the corporate world, working closely with our clients, participants and members responding to their needs, and providing a high quality service that will enable them to achieve their ambition, and through support and by sharing our professional knowledge and expertise help them to take risks and seek out new challenges, striving to exceed expectations.

EGO consistently seeks out new and exciting opportunities for its members, offering a range of provision that has developed over the years as a direct response to the needs of our community. Collaborating with the very best artists in the City EGO offers a wealth of experience and expertise in order to produce innovative, relevant and exciting performances, projects and events.
