Fees and Funding Information
How does it work?
Unlike the other ensembles we run at EGO, the EGO Creative Academy is a full-day Adult Social Care provision. Sessions are charged at an hourly rate and prices are set by Coventry City Council.
It costs £15.53 per hour, which works out at £93.18 per day.
The EGO Creative Academy runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. This includes Performing Arts (Tue/Fri) and Production Arts (Thu). You can come to the EGO Creative Academy up to three days per week.
How to secure funding
Most of our members receive funding from their local authority to pay for their place at the EGO Creative Academy. This usually comes in the form of "direct payments".
Depending where you live your local authority could be: Coventry City Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Rugby Borough Council, Warwickshire District Council or Warwickshire County Council - although it could be one not listed here.

I don't have a social worker
If you live in Coventry and don’t have a social worker, the first step is to complete an online referral for Adult Social Care – anyone who supports you can do this. Please state that you wish to use the funding for EGO Creative Academy (Ref: COV 7823). https://www.coventry.gov.uk/ascreferral
If you live outside of Coventry, your local authority will have a similar process and should recognise our reference number.
The Adult Social Care team are unable to discuss individual referrals with us at EGO, but they recommend you call to chase up the referral, Tel: 02476833003. Referrals can take time but please do chase them up and state that you want to use the funding for EGO Creative Academy (Ref: COV 7823).
While you’re waiting to hear from them, we like to offer a free taster session. You can try a Performance session (Tuesdays and Fridays) and a Production Arts session (Thursdays). Email hello@egoarts.co.uk to let us know which you would prefer, and we’ll book in a date!
I have a social worker, but I don't receive direct payments
Please get in touch with your social worker and explain that you would like direct payments for the EGO Creative Academy (Ref: COV 7823).
Unfortunately we are unable to speak to social workers on your behalf, but come to us if you need advice or additional information.

I already receive direct payments
If you already receive direct payments, you can get started at EGO Creative Academy. If you don't manage the direct payments yourself, you will need to speak to your social worker about directing the payments to EGO.
At the moment, the Performance sessions take place twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays, 10am - 4pm. The Production Art sessions take place weekly on Thursdays 10am - 4pm.
We usually invoice monthly, either to you directly or via an appointee (if you use one) such as Penderels Trust.
